Train station concourses, ticketing areas, and platforms are high-density areas that are vulnerable to chemical threats. Intentional, incidental, or accidental release of toxic chemicals can quickly overwhelm travelers.

Block's LaserWarn standoff chemical detection system protects these locations with an invisible infrared laser beam. The beam path covers hundreds of meters, and allows for rapid detection of chemical warfare agents, toxic industrial chemicals, and other chemical gases.

The LaserWarn can be mounted in a variety of configurations in order to maximize surveillance while minimizing the sensor footprint. No consumables are required for operation or calibration. The system is available in indoor and outdoor enclosures, including an IP66 ruggedized enclosure to protect against environmental dust, water, and other adverse conditions found in train station environments.
