Our products warn our military personnel of chemical terrorist attacks, provide portable standoff detection of chemicals for HazMat Teams and Special Forces and provide the intelligence community with surveillance information.

Block has developed a unique and unparalleled understanding of the issues that dominate the sensitivity of these devices and has designed electronics that provide extremely low noise and hence very low detection limits:

Single Detector FTIR Spectrometers:

• M90 / M100: Complete interferometer for FTIR measurements, offered in two configurations:
• M90: OEM Engine for integration into larger systems, such as the Mobile Chemical Agent Detector (MCAD), marketed by Northrop Grumman and MESH, Inc.
• M100: Integrated system with complete functionality, capable of providing spectroscopic measurements. Block also offers the M100 Data Interface System, for direct access to M100 and data extraction.
• M200: Complete interferometer for FTIR measurements, but with close to five times better sensitivity than the M100 series.
• PORTHOS™: Portable Hazard Observation System offering lightweight (~15 lbs), battery (~6 hrs) operation with built-in detection software algorithm and automatic calibration with no user intervention. Block currently offers two models: PORTHOS-500 (0.5° field of view) and PORTHOS-1500 (1.5° field of view)

Imaging FTIR Spectrometers:

• iSpec™: Allows overlay of spectral information on video to create "hyper-spectral" images. The system offers enhanced background compensation for improved detection and reduced acquisition time for high speed aerial surveillance.
